Came across this video today of Silver Dragon arriving at AirVenture on Friday. By the looks of it, it came down rather hard on the nose gear. I wonder if this may have led to the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Also, according to an (offline) Wikipedia reference, the nose gear on the prototype went through some revisions due to weakness. That usually means complexity (and/or hidden weakness) in the context of quick wartime solutions. I'm always amazed at WWII hardware...it just wasn't meant to last a long time, but it has.
